Tyler had a three hour appointment today at the University of Michigan cleft clinic and anesthesia department. We waited and waited, and this is what the surgeon said "ya, I am pretty sure I can do it no problem". We waited all that time for the two minute visit with the surgeon! I would bad mouth healthcare, but thats my career. So instead we sat there biting our tongues and Tyler threw a little fit and then passed out. He had a little attitude problem until the NP removed his tape. He is hating the tape and fusses just enough to convience someone to remove it. We are eagerly looking forward to July 8th and getting these surgery's done. Tyler is taking regular bottles now, however the cleft team told us to not switch him completely because he will need to use the special feeder after his surgery until his sutures heal. Also, no baby food for a few weeks after the surgery. So we are back to the stinking haberman bottles that have to be hand washed!!! Oh, the nerve!!
Tyler loves his new exersaucer!
